See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.
This extensively modernised old Georgian house has a nautical theme, with the flooring a special feature. It shows the bay around Ilfracombe in pictorial form, with local landmarks and shipwrecks plotted, together with an impressive pub logo shown in an image of a compass. Outside there is a pleasant beer garden in front of the pub. There is always a very good selection of real ales, ciders and food offerings available. Only 50 yards from Ilfracombe bus terminus. Now using the rebrand The Hip @ No.8
