See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.
Casks are set on stillage at the end of the L-shaped bar, which is notable for the absence of hand pumps, as the landlord refuses to serve draught lager. This 16th-century village local has a well-deserved reputation for the quality and consistency of its ales and has been local CAMRA branch pub of the year several times in recent years. There is always good conversation to be had around the bar. Live music also features regularly.
