Now an attractive restaurant and licenced cafï¿½, the Puffing Billy reopened in May 2015 after a prolonged period of closure. At least three, bottle conditioned ales are stocked, together One well kept local ale is usually available, together with two real ciders. Built of the local Torrington Stone and formerly the railway station serving the town, the Puffing Billy maintains a railway theme and is now a hub of the popular Tarka Trail, which runs alongside the restaurant. Cycle hire is available nearby. Good value meals, snacks and cream teas are served, with breakfasts available from 9-11am. Look out for the large and impressive pictures of dogs. Longer opening hours in summer.
