13th century low beamed, thatched two-storey inn reputedly used as a court room in the 17th century with the cellars as a gaol and an execution drop in the main bar. There is a woodburner with antique settle and a small backroom where darts and pool are played. The skittle alley doubles as a function room. Quizzes are held three times a year and the frontage is used for drinking and dining al fresco. An old innkeeper's house is available to rent nearby.
