Dating from the 12th Century and containing a number of interesting historical features, The Stag is reckoned to be the oldest pub in Devon. It reopened in March 2018, following a sympathetic refurbishment and under new ownership, following an 18 month period of closure. Flagstone floors, a large open fire, cosy informal eating areas and a well stocked bar.Its medium term future will rely on the owners finding supportive management.Pub only opens on the first two Sundays of every month.
